Hello everyone!

Thank You!

Just wanted to say again how grateful I am to all of you for your support, prayers, and encouragement while I am on the race. I am so thankful that you are in my life! Your prayers are impacting the Kingdom and you have an inheritance in nations through partnering through prayer.

An Update-

Here is a quick update up to where we are presently… From mid-November to mid-December my team was in Uzzhorod, Ukraine (which is in the Western side of the country in an area called Transcarpathia). This area is impacted by the cultures and languages of Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland, since it is so close to these other countries. In Uzhhorod, our main ministry involved working with local churches and helping in their outreaches to neighboring towns and communities, visiting orphanages, and encouraging the local body of believers. I will soon be sharing a story of how the Lord moved in a Roma community near Uzhhorod. (It will be soon, I promise!)

Leaving Ukraine

After Uzhhorod, my squad flew to Jordan where we were from mid-December until mid-January. We got to spend Christmas in the desert of Wadi Rum and celebrate the New Year there as well. (More to come later…) Each year I ask the Lord for a word for the new year and my word for 2021 was BEHOLD! I wanted to behold the Lord and asked Him to continue to reveal more of His character to me each month. As I was looking back on each month of 2021, these were some of the characteristics of who the Lord revealed himself to be…

January 2021- God who is Present

February 2021- God who Comforts

March 2021- God who Provides- Jehovah Jireh

April 2021- God who Sees

May 2021- God who Keeps His Promises

June 2021- God who is our Friend

July 2021- God who Speaks/ God who is Victorious

August 2021- God who is Steadfast and Constant

September 2021- God who is our Peace

October 2021- God who is Faithful

November 2021- God who Guides/ The Great Shepherd

December 2021- God who Redeems/ Gives us Hope

Arriving in Jordan

Team Changes-

Right after Christmas, we had some team changes. My new team is called Abundance and it comes from a section in Ephesians that we want to be said of our new team! We know that we serve a God of Abundance! He has everything that we need. All of the patience, all of the love, all of the Joy, we can receive from Him exactly what we need because He is our Source. We are also believing that He is going to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think and that He is going to continue to blow us away with His goodness and faithfulness to us.

Ephesians 3:14- 4:3 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith— that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”.

Lord, let this be said of us!

Team Abundance!

Month 6-

From there, we moved on to Istanbul, Turkey and due to being here in Turkey we have added some additional precautions with password protecting blogs and other forms of media. My squad got to be reunited in Istanbul for a debrief where we received some teachings, had the opportunity to pray and worship together, and spend some time reflecting on the first HALF of our race! Can you believe that we have passed the HALF-WAY point on this wild journey? It is crazy that we are in our 6th month as a squad and I am constantly blown away with the faithfulness of the Lord to carry us through everything and the gift that He has given me to run with these amazing squadmates! Debrief was so good for me personally and also as a squad. We ended debrief with another quarantine, although this time it was only a 5 day quarantine. While it was unexpected, it was nice to have the space and time to catch up and rest before we got started on our ministry for the month. After our quarantine, it took my team 3 days to be able to leave Istanbul due to a crazy winter snowstorm, but we have made it to our town that will be home to us for just under a month.

Prayer Requests:

  • New Team- We are still adjusting and transitions can be hard sometimes, but we are excited to see what the Lord has for us in this new team.
  • Team Abundance will live out Ephesians 3:14- 4:3
  • Greater Hunger for the Lord and for increased boldness
  • Wisdom and Favor with others

Thank you for reading! Please email me with prayer requests, it would be my honor to pray for you!

With love,

-Elizabeth
